Quilt NSW General Meeting : 28 Nov 2015

All members are welcome to attend the final General Meeting for 2015.

Margaret from Logan's, our Guest Shop, is bound to offer Christmas fabrics along with other lovely quilting goodies. Perhaps an early Christmas present to yourself! And if not intending to shop, then be sure to watch Jan Foster explain away the perceived difficulties and intricacies of Foundation Piecing during the Demonstration.

After the lunch break, our own well know Member, Kay Haerland, will present as Guest Speaker. Kay's extremely original prize winning quilts, exhibited all over the world, have intrigued everyone, and are the result of a 30 year textile journey.

She is a truly creative soul, and with focussed energy continues to stretch her teaching methods. This drive has recently culminated in a foray into DVD production. So, please come and hear first hand, of how Kay creates, and find out what inspires her visually delightful productivity.

Pop Up Sewing Day: Embroiderers' Guild NSW: 17 November 2015

Pop-Up Sewing Day At the Embroiderers’ Guild

Tuesday 17th November from 10am – 3.30pm

These social days are growing in popularity, and are a great way to spend a relaxing day getting to know fellow Quilt NSW members

Our next Pop Up Sewing day will be held on at The Embroiderers’ Guild, 76 Queen Street, Concord West, just a few doors from Concord West station (1 hour parking is available outside the building for dropping off equipment and unrestricted parking is available further up the street.)

There are some food outlets not too far away, however we recommend taking your own lunch.  The Embroiderers’ Guild charges $1 for tea and coffee. A small number of sewing machines can be accommodated, but as there is restricted space we recommend hand sewing for this Pop-Up.

Pop-Up Sewing Days are free of charge. Reserve your place by phoning the office (let us know if you intend to take a sewing machine).
