Sydney Quilt Show 2007 Awards
The Guild's 25th Anniversary member's exhibition opened at Darling Harbour today and it is my great pleasure to announce that Best of Show (sponsored by Bernina) was awarded to Mariya Waters for her magnificent quilt Renaissance Revival:
A gallery of prize winning quilts has been posted on the guild's website. I hope you can join us at the Sydney Quilt Show - don't forget to purchase a catalogue to get your voting slip for Viewer's Choice. Alternatively, you are welcome to leave a comment on this blog.

The quilts in your guild's show are amazing! The workmanship, style, design, color, and miles and miles (or should I say, kilometers and kilometers!) of quilting. I've been doing machine work since the mid 1970s and it is wonderful to see shows that actually reward machine work! Please let your guild know that this machine quilter/freemotion quilter originally from Massachusetts and now in Chattanooga, Tennessee LOVES what they are doing! Wish could make the trip to your show next year.
Great work! Joyce Teal
I've just spent a good long time strolling thru your Sydney Quilt Show 2007 Awards quilts webpages. They are beautiful and inspiring, thank you!
Also, want to compliment your Guild on your categories, which to me have been one of THE most confusing aspects of many shows!
Looking forward to seeing next year's results.

Congratulations, not only on the excellence of the photography, but also the speed with which you had the winners and their fabulous quilts up on the website! Can't wait to see the quilts "in the flesh" at the weekend. Sincere thanks to everyone involved!!!

Congratulations on the great web display that allows those of us who can't be there in the flesh this year to see some of the wonderful work.
Hat's off to exhibition secretary and web person extraordinaire, Brenda Smith!
Best,
