Guild General Meeting : 29 November 2014

The final General Meeting of The Quilters' Guild of NSW Inc for 2014 will be held in "The Dome" at Burwood RSL on Saturday November 29.

Our Guest Speaker will be Textile Artist Jenny Bain. Her pinterest boards display a deep love of fabric, embroidery and stitch texture and textile collage, thus she is bound to be talking about some visually exciting quilts in her presentation: 

"The Corruption Cycle" 

This exploration  arose out of her background in Sociology/ Anthropology- exploring the nature of power in our society- how ethics are manipulated and how well we as individuals cope. 

Jenny's quilts often use salvage art, historic fibre and handstitching to provoke contemplative thought.

Please bring your own mug to Meetings : Quilt Block Patterns: optional!

This will be the first chance to see the newly elected committee in action, so please come and support these members.

As it is the "Christmas Meeting" please remember to dress in a festive fashion!

For those who are lucky enough to "win" Lucky Door prizes, please note :

      Those who remain at the meeting will collect their prize; however, those who have left their ticket with a friend will need the friend to collect the prize as no prizes will be posted to recipients in the future.
