Plan your Visit for the Sydney Quilt Show 2019
It's just one week until the Sydney Quilt Show 2019 opens at the Exhibition Centre, ICC at Darling Harbour Sydney. The Sydney Quilt Show is an annual members exhibition presented in conjunction with the Craft & Quilt Fair with the support of Expertise Events, BERNINA Australia and other generous sponsors.
Here's an overview to help you plan your visit:
- View 400 member quilts in the main exhibition, the QuiltNSW hoop display and the QuiltNSW challenge Running Away with the Amish
- Say hello to a QuiltNSW ambassador. Ask us a question!
- Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win the Chuck Nohara collaborative quilt made by Maree Blanchard and Lorena Uriarte and quilted by Kat Jones. The proceeds of our annual raffle fund QuiltNSW programs such as the scholarship and country tutor programs
- 1pm Wednesday: Awards ceremony including announcement of BERNINA Best of Show
- 11am daily: floor talk with special exhibitor Brenda Gael Smith
- 12noon daily: floor talk with special exhibitor Catherine Butterworth
- 2.30pm daily: Tresillian Centenary Quilt floor talk with coordinators Cath Babidge and Julie Kennedy
- View the BERNINA Best of Australia exhibit and join a floor talk with Julie Adamson: Wednesday 2.30-3.30pm and Thursday and Friday 1-2pm
- Come along to the Activity Centre, a hands-on quilt making area for everyone, from 10am-4pm Thursday - Sunday
